This flower essence was made in Iceland with a huge stand of magestic Angelica plants in bloom at the wild sea's edge. After over a decade of visiting Iceland, and working ceremonially with the land, I finally felt invited to make this flower essence.
Angelica archangelica—or Ætihvönn in Icelandic—has been revered by Icelanders since humans first arrived on the island. Its scent is delicate, inviting, and sweet. The night after I made this essence, as I drifted in and out of sleep, I heard what sounded like warm reed flutes humming with the wind. When I woke, I did a little research and found that, in Nordic cultures, the stems were often used to make a flute.
